Edgar Enns Thompson, Jr., 72, passed away on March 5, 2026 in Washington, DC. He was born on April 8, 1953 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Edgar Enns Thompson, Sr. and Frances Stricklen Thompson.

He graduated from Spartanburg High School,Class of 1971. He also graduated from Howard University in Washington, DC with a focus on film media and worked at Howard University until he retired. Edgar was an avid and passionate photographer, leaving an extensive portfolio of beautiful work.

He leaves to cherish loving memories: his sisters Karen Y. Thompson, Janice T. Littlejohn, and Teresa T. Jarrett; niece, Nikki Littlejohn; as well as family and many friends.
