Obituary For Betty Holmes

Betty Iris R. Holmes, 69, born June 12, 1947 went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2016 in her home surrounded by love from her family. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters Felicia Y. Rogers and Tonya D. Alston and one 'special' son Daryl Rogers all of Durham, NC; four grandchildren, Mikeisha K. Rogers (Daryl), Jamond L. Alston, Darius L. Rogers (Karen) and Carlos Randle of Durham; one great granddaughter, Azaria J. Fair of Durham; four sisters Lillie M. Bass (Robert), Barbara A. Rogers, Yvonne Rogers, and Gwendolyn Rogers, all of Durham; two brothers Avon Rogers and John Rogers both of Durham; a very special cousin Mary Davis; her pet Yorkie, Muno Holmes and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm, the funeral will follow immediately from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Holloway Memorial Funeral Home. Prior to the service the family will receive visitors at the home.
