Ray Allen Perkins, Sr. was born June 24, 1932 in Farrill, Alabama, Cherokee County to the late Walter N. & Lillie H. Perkins. He was raised in an area known as “Perkins Bottom”. He attended The Coloured School in Cedar Bluff, AL. He was married to the late Dorothy Lee Perkins in 1964 and they were married for over 38 years until her death on December 31, 2001. He has a phenomenal legacy his children, two daughters, Sharon L. Reese , Racine A. (Harry W.) Rikard; two sons, Ray A. (Edna Janet)Perkins, Jr, and Donald M. (Francine N.)Perkins and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
