Obituary For Jacqueline Green

Ms. Jacqueline Delois Green died unexpectedly at Duke Regional Hospital on December 5th, 2016 in Durham, North Carolina at the age of 67. Jacqueline was born on March 17, 1949 in Durham, to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Green. Jacqueline is survived by her Mother, Mrs. Hattie Green of Durham; her children, Quenton Green(Jamiette) and Aisha Green; her grandchildren, Thomas J. Green, Zora Green and Malachi Wood; siblings, Mrs. Brenda Curtis(William) of Durham, Mrs. Melinda Fields(Curtland) of New Jersey, Mr. Samuel Green(Jacqueline) of Henderson, North Carolina, Mr. Clinton Green of Maryland, and Ms. Bonita Green of Durham; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Mr. Samuel Green of Durham. Jacqueline was educated at Merrick-Moore High School and graduated in 1967. After graduation, she received training in computer technology in Jacksonville Florida. Jacqueline returned to Durham, after completion of her training, and began her career with IBM, where she worked until she retired. In more recent years, she worked for the U.S. Postal Service, where she remained employed until she passed. Jacqueline was a kind and gentle mother and was also very generous and dedicated and loved her family. She was a long-time member of the Mount Zoar Baptist Church. Throughout her life, she was an active member of the Church and participated in the Choir, Sunday School, Usher Board, as well as many other church activities. She was also an active member of the Merrick-Moore Community Club and served as Club President for many years, until she passed. Jacqueline was also a recent member of the Eastern Star. Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday, December 12 at the New Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church in Durham, North Carolina 12 noon, visitation 11:00 am.
