Obituary For Virginia Street

Virginia Headen Street passed on Sunday, March 19, at the age of 97. Mrs. Street is survived by a daughter, Betty Street Gilmore (George), and sons Robert (Stella) and Bradley (Judith). Her husband, Clifton J. Street, preceded her in death in 2014. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 25, at Northside Baptist Church, 1239 Berkeley Street, Durham, NC 27705. Visitation and viewing is scheduled for 10:30 am at the church, with the service following at 11:00 am. She will also lie in state at Holloway Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, March 24. Interment will follow in Glenview Memorial Park.

I  am very sorry for your family's loss. The loss of a loved one can be the most difficult thing that a person may have to ever experience in their lives. Please allow me to share something that has brought me some comfort in difficult times. Revelation chapter 21 and verse 4 says 'And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will morning nor outcry nor pain anymore the former things have passed away.' Imagine a world where death and pain are gone, and where there will be no tears because the bad things we deal with today will be done away with. How beautiful it will be for us also to see our loved ones again as the bible fortells. (John 5:28,29) I hope that this has brought you a measure of comfort. And may the God of all comfort, comfort you during this difficult time.
