Anthony Gerard “Rod” McPherson, aged 45, passed on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY.

He was the son of Paula Dudley McPherson and Charles Anthony Langford. Rod was born on August 23, 1980, in Danville, KY.

Rod was preceded in death by his parents, Paula McPherson and Charles Anthony Langford, as well as his grandparents, Leroy and Betty L. Jones, and Lula Marie Jarber.

He had a passion for video games, spending time with family, working and enjoying music, particularly rap.

Rod is survived by his children, Layla McPherson and Braxton Gerard McPherson a brother, William Louis (Judy) McPherson; a sister, Melinda LaRon McPherson; two nieces, Cameron Jade (Chief) McPherson and Trinity Jaye McPherson; three nephews, Tyrus James McPherson Tazman James McPherson and Tahj Jamal McPherson; He is also survived by his step-mother, Angela Jarber; aunts, Angela Denise Jarber Beale, Markeeta Jones, Geneva Hayes and Cheryl Ward; two uncles, Marcus Jones and Algernon “Zeke” (Agatha) Jarber; along with a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

Funeral Service, will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Second Street Christian Church, 228 E. 2nd Street, Danville, KY , Rev. Dennis Miller Pastor. Burial will follow in the Hilldale Cemetery, Danville, KY
