Susan “Sue” Jo Ogle, 78, of Spartanburg, South Carolina passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, March 21, 2026. She was born on August 3, 1947, in Gassoway, West Virginia to the late Frank and Virginia Kitts.

She was a devoted caretaker and daycare teacher for 20 years. She was formerly employed by Eastside Daycare in Spartanburg for 8 years, where her professional journey came to an end at 72 years old. Beyond the dedication she had for working with her beloved children, she was a devoted follower of Christ and faithful server of her Lord and Savior. She was a member of White Plains Baptist Church.

Sue was married to the love of her life, Roger, for 31 years. She was affectionately known by her family as Nanny. She loved taking trips to the mountains and to Gatlinburg, TN. One of her favorite pastimes was routine yard sale hunts and flea market runs on an early Saturday morning. She was a collector of many treasures including precious moments, snow globes, bunnies, and dolls. Sue cherished spending time with her family, where her presence brought joy and most of the time laughter with her great sense of humor. She loved to listen to Christian music and enjoyed her downtime watching scary movies and shark movies and playing with her dog Maggie.

Left to cherish her memories are her three daughters, Pamela Ogle, Janice Ogle, and Letha Osment (Michael); her ten grandchildren, Matthew Ogle (Anne Marie), Paris Ogle (Antonio), Dale Ogle, Jarett Ogle-Babb, Dietra Ogle, Angela Justice (Anthony), Meranda Ogle, Chelsey Justice (Brandon), Jordan Babb (Hannah), and Kristy Osment (James); her nineteengreat grandchildren; and her sister Ruthie Kitts.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roger Dale Ogle; her great grandson, Brayzon Farr; her five brothers, Nyoki, Warde, Johnny, David, and Walter Kitts; and her sister, Florence Claggett.

She was abundantly loved by all her family and friends. She will be remembered by family for her sharp witty humor, her passion for collecting, her strong faith, and she will forever be missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:15 pm at White Plains Baptist Church, 206 Soap Stone Rd, Gaffney, SC. Memorial Services will at 2:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

The family will be at the home of Janice Ogle.
