Obituary For Clydia Kea

After years of declining health and a recent stroke, Clydia Catherine Kea transitioned to her eternal life on May 31, 2017. From the 69 years of marriage were born two daughters and two sons. Clydia leaves to cherish her memory her husband, William Jackson Kea and children: James Kea (Marsha) and Dr. Cathy Kea of Greensboro, NC., Fernando Kea (Fay) and Audra Kea-Hamilton (Kenneth) of Durham, NC, six grandchildren: Vivian Kea Julian Kea Stephen Kea, Breana Kea, Amari Hamilton and Ahmad Hamilton, four great-grandchildren: Noelle Kea, Coby Kea, Dominic Kea and Connor Kea. Also, one brother and three sisters of Wilmington, NC: Willie Lee Fields, Vivian Delores Fields, Maretta Fields and Lillie Mae Fields; life-long brothers (Top Keaton and Jimmy Oates), two sister-in-laws Clara Mae Corbett (Washington, DC) and Jeannie Kea (Kelly, NC), a host of very special relatives, best friend Clarice Council Page and extended family caregivers: Arnel Smith, Freda Bass and Tiara McDougald. Funeral services will take place on Monday, June 5, 2017, at Bell–Yeager Free Will Baptist Church, 128 East Cornwallis Road, Durham, NC 27707. A public viewing will be held from 11:00 am to 12 noon followed by services from 12 noon to 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks mourners to make a donation to the church.
