Very sorry to hear the news. My condolences to the family. Greg and I started Seagrove together and finshed SWR together. Since we only lived about a mile from each other growing up, we spent numerous hours riding the same bus to school. For me, Greg will always be that guy with the big, wide smile. May he rest in peace.

Dear family , I am so very sorry to hear of Greg's passing. We went to school together at Watts, and he was always one of my favorite people. We kept in touch via Facebook and even when he was so ill, he was such a compassionate and thoughtful person to others and just had a peace about him. He will be missed by me.....

Dear Cassady Family- My continued thoughts and prayers are with you all during this most challenging time. Please accept my deepest and most sincere condolences in the passing of my dear friend and Christian Tar Heel brother, Greg. From the time of our first meeting at UNC-CH in UCF Greg always exhibited a compassionate and caring spirit toward others. His uplifting smile and infectious sense of joy will be sorely missed by all. Peace and blessings.

My prayers are with the Cassady family. I had the great pleasure of meeting Greg as we attended Nursing School at Watts. I remember his passion for teaching as he helped me study in a class I struggled with. I eventually followed his prompting to apply, and we also became coworkers at JUH. We became dear friends, Greg even sang in my wedding in 1996. I will miss his fun loving compassionate spirit. Our last visit was in March prior to me traveling. As I left he hugged me told me to 'call when you get there'. which speaks to his heart. He messaged me when he thought I should be back home, to make sure I was home safely. All this while dealing with his illness. I will truly miss his loving kindness, but he has received his heavenly reward.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. May you find strength from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: 'God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress.' What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us. You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.

Amy and family, Shocked and saddened at the news of Greg's passing.I don't believe I had seen or heard from Greg since our graduation from SWR in 1980 but my memories of him are as vivid as if it were yesterday. A gentle short young man that had a SMILE that was bigger than he himself was. And that bow tie.. just ROCKED IT with his pleasant personality. May memories like those comfort you in these days of sorrow and beyond. Prayers for you all.

I am very sorry for your family's loss. The loss of a loved one can be the most difficult thing that a person may have to ever experience in their lives. Please allow me to share something that has brought me some comfort in difficult times. Revelation chapter 21 and verse 4 says 'And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will morning nor outcry nor pain anymore the former things have passed away.' Imagine a world where death and pain are gone, and where there will be no tears because the bad things we deal with today will be done away with. How beautiful it will be for us also to see our loved ones again as the bible fortells. (John 5:28,29) I hope that this has brought you a measure of comfort. And may the God of all comfort, comfort you during this difficult time.
