Christopher Contreras, age 60, of Bowie, TX, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. To many, he was simply known as Chris.

A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 3rd, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, TX.

Chris was born in Beeville, TX on June 26, 1965, Chris was a long-time resident of Bowie, TX and served as a maintenance man for Bellmire Healthcare facility back in the 80s. He was well loved by many and a very kind-hearted soul. He was well recognized by the beanies that he wore and was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys football team and New York Yankees baseball team. Chris was a loyal, genuine and dear friend to those who knew him, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and always enjoyed having a good time. He will be sadly and sorely missed by his loving family and friends and remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and devoted dedication to his family.

Christopher is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Sr., mother Irene C. Hoyer, brother Manuel Contreras Jr, brother Manuel Bradford Contreras, and stepmother Karen Contreras.

Christopher is survived by his estranged wife, Twana Contreras; cherished children, Christen Craft and Christopher Charles Manuel Contreras; his loving brothers Ruben (Janice) Contreras, Timothy Contreras, Casey Contreras, and Robert Hoyer; his sister Irene Hoyer; and his stepfather Gary Hoyer.
