Elder Leon “LJ” Blackwell, Jr.,84, widower of Albertha Roberts Blackwell, died Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Mcleod Regional Center of Pee Dee, Florence, SC. He was born September 25, 1941, in Alcolu, SC. A son of the late Leon and Rachel Witherspoon Blackwell, Sr.

Public viewing will be held 4PM til 6PM Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Hayes F. Samuels, Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 North Church St., Manning, SC.

Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday, March 30, 2026, at Harmony Presbyterian Church, Alcolu, SC. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery.

The family is receiving friends at his residence 3PM til 7PM daily, 1697 Pinecrest Acres, Alcolu, SC.
