GRAND COTEAU – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau, LA for Mr. John Clinton Perrodin, 82, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.

Rev. Aaron Melancon, Pastor of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, will be officiating the funeral mass.

Mr. Perrodin was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He was a bass guitar musician who played with many wonderful musicians. He played with Clifton Chenier, Lil Bob and the Lollie Pops, Rockin Doopsie, Stevie Wonder and many more famous musicians.

Cherishing Mr. Perrodin’s memories are: his loving wife, Mary Lee Perrodin of Opelousas, LA; two sons, David Anderson of Bellevue, LA and Eddie (Eva) Anderson of Duson, LA; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Andrew and Sedonia Calais Perrodin; four brothers, Charles, Olivier, Gabriel and Landry Perrodin and nine sisters, Dorothy Singleton, Eva Perrodin, Bernice Lemelle, Joyce Perrodin, Lois Jolivette, Iris Brothers, Evelyn White, Mary Earline Jenkins and Irma Jean St. Amant.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
