BRANCH – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Maryland Chapel Methodist Church in Branch, LA for Mr. Jonas Randy Young, Sr., 72, who entered eternal rest on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Encore Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Crowley, LA. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Rev. Jessie C. Banks, Sr. will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Young leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife for over 50 years, Mrs. Linda Faye G. Young of Branch, LA; one son, Jonas Randy Young, Jr. of Branch, LA; one daughter, Morgan G. Young of Branch, LA; two sisters, Rhonda Guidry of Branch, LA and Barbara Williams of Los Angeles, CA; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephew, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Pharoah Edwards and Elmae Young; one brother, Larry Young; and four sisters, Linda R. Young, Joylyn Young, Patricia Chevis and Chaney Batiste.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Maryland Chapel Methodist Church.
