Obituary For Geraldine Laws
February 2, 1930 – September 26, 2017 Ms. Geraldine Laws was a native of Granville County, NC. Her Mother, Gladys Amey, adoptive parents, Nebraska and Earle Laws, and sister, Ruth Laws Timberlake, preceded her in death. She was a graduate of G.C. Hawley High School and a member of Union Chapel Baptist Church. After moving to Lansing, Michigan, she completed her education at Michigan State University. Employed as a registered nurse, and by the Department of Human Services, she provided service to many. She joined Paradise Missionary Baptist Church and continued her service as a member of the Mother’s Board and Nurse’s Guild. She is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gravesite rites will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 2:00 pm, Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 3712 Cheek Road, Durham, NC 27703.

To the Laws Family and to all who loved Geraldine Laws. Although we have never met personally, I wish to express my condolences. The loss of a loved one can be the most difficult thing that a person may have to ever experience in their lives. Please allow me to share something that has brought many comfort in these difficult times. Revelation chapter 21 and verse 4 says 'And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will morning nor outcry nor pain anymore the former things have passed away.' Imagine a world where death and pain are gone, and where there will be no tears because the bad things we deal with today will be done away with. How beautiful it will be for us also to see our loved ones again as the Bible fortells. (John 5:28,29) This hope has always brought me some peace of mind and something to look forward to in the near future. I hope it does the same for you.
