Tina Williamson

Passed 03/13/2026

Tina Louise Williamson was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late John L. Wright, Sr. and the late Daisy Lee Williamson.

She received her formal education in the Harrisburg School District and was a 1980 graduate of the John Harris High School where she was a member of the Harrisburg Intensified Learning Program (HILP) 6th through 12th grade which provided advanced placement and college prep courses. She also participated on the Debate Team, Pep Club, County Band, Marching Band, National Honor Society, Ski Club, Student store, Yearbook Staff, Prom Committee, Graduation Committee, May Day Committee, Steering Committee and Softball Team.

She continued her educational endeavors and graduated from Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, PA in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Major in Spanish which she spoke fluently. Then she continued her education at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law in 1987 with a Doctor of Law (Juris Doctor) Degree. She passed the bar exam on her first attempt.

During her working career, Tina was a devoted employee for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania from June 16, 1989 until February 21, 2019 when she retired from the Bureau of Hearings and Appeals as an Administrative Law Judge after 30 years of service.

Tina accepted the Lord when she was baptized on June 6, 2004. She was a devoted member of Capital Presbyterian Church where she worked tirelessly as a Trustee, a member of the Women’s Association, the Sunday School Staff (Youth), the Kitchen Staff, the Progressive Way Committee, the Christian Education Committee, a Girl Scout Leader and in any other capacity needed. When Tina was physically unable to attend meetings due to illness she continued to participate via telephone until she was no longer able.

Before Tina succumbed to her illness, she loved reading physical books (she refused to use electronic books) so much she took a job at the East Shore Library. She was one of Michael Jackson’s biggest fans, she would be excited to visit every Walmart in any state she passed through, gardening in her backyard, cooking and especially debating with anyone brave enough to take her on.

She loved and enjoyed her sisters and brother on down to the great and great great nieces and nephews. She was so very passionate about checking on all of her family by calling them to see how they were doing and offer a lending hand or an ear to listen to whatever problems they were going through. She provided so much wisdom to everyone. And anyone who knew her up close and personally knew she had an enormous sense of humor. She kept you laughing.

Tina’s most enjoyable time was spent with her great nephews Durrell and Terrell who she raised from babies as if they were her own. They had a very blessed and loving relationship.

Tina’s most treasured time was spent as a caregiver for many years to our sister Marsha Johnson as a promise to our mother Daisy. Tina and Marsha’s son Mario together cared for Marsha so lovingly and they have a very special relationship that will never be broken.

On Friday, March 13, 2026, Tina Louise Williamson at the age of 63 years old peacefully transitioned into eternal life at the Amoroso Nursing Home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania after a lengthy illness.

Tina is preceded in death by her father, John L. Wright, Sr.; mother, Daisy L. Wright; brother, John L. Wright, Jr.; sisters, Marjorie A. Robertson and Marsha R. Johnson and nephew, William J. Robertson, Jr.

A special thank you to Avis Reid, Kim Wilson and Darlene Chisolm for all the countless hours spent with Tina talking with her, taking her favorite meals and desserts, playing music for her and praying with her.

There are too many family, friends and coworkers to acknowledge individually but to all of you, thank you all for loving on Tina over the years. Thank you, Ms. Charlie Mae Smalls, Ms. Rosetta Gaines and Mrs. Twilah Shipley, for your generosity and for religiously keeping in touch with Tina and sending cards and gifts often.

Last but not least thank you with lots of love to Ms. Eunice Blanding (Ms. Bing) who has been a mother figure in our lives since our mother passed. Tina would want Ms. Bing to know how much she loved her.

Tina, we love you and we will miss you so very much but we know God loves you best. Rest in peace until we meet again.
