John E. Brinson, 52, of Palatka, Florida, was born on August 17, 1973, in Palatka to Sylvester Brinson and Rener Wilson. He peacefully departed this life leaving behind a legacy of love, quiet strength, and devotion to his family. John received his education through the Putnam County School District and later graduated with the Class of 1993. He was a dedicated and hardworking man who was employed with Georgia Pacific and Hydro for over a decade. John was known for being quiet, laid-back, and easygoing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, who brought him great joy. He was also an avid fan of University of Miami football and could often be found cheering on his favorite team. John will be remembered for his calm
spirit, loving heart, and the special bond he shared with those who knew and loved him. John transitioned from this life to his eternal life on April 4, 2026, at Lilac at Bayview.
John was preceded into eternal rest by his father, Sylvester Brinson, Sr.

Brinson, Jon’Neria Brinson, Dalisha (Sheridan) Kearse, John Brinson Jr., Jon’Terrious Brinson, Jon’Teria Brinson, and Juntae Brinson; mother, Reaner Williams; siblings, Sylvester (Erica) Brinson, Isaac Brinson, Sr., Lorenzo (Joy) Brinson, Sr., Anthony Brinson, Lavar Merritt, Daniel (JeKita) Brinson, Sylvia Brinson, and Richard Brinson; grandchildren, Ki’Yana McKinnon, Jaylen Brinson, Ke’Unna Brinson, A’Kinsley Session, Jai’Kai Brinson, Alix Session III, Ayla Brinson, Sheridan Kearse III, and KyAire Session; Godsister, Corlis (Horn) Tomblin, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
The Brinson Family will receive extended family and friends on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Church of Recovery of Palatka from 7:00p.m - - 8:00p.m. The Homegoing Celebration will commence at 11:00a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Passionate First Born Church of Palatka.
Burial will be in Oak Hill – West Cemetery.
