I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. Recently I lost my dear mother, and found great comfort in the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25 verse 8 - 'The Sovereign Lord will swallow up death forever, and wipe away the tears from all faces.' Also at Revelation 21 verse 4, we find God's promise to remove both pain and death. For more comfort, I turn to the website at: www.jw.org (Search: Comfort)

My thoughts are with you and the family and how death robs us of our loved ones. Jehovah God has promised to remove death, sickness, and pain from the earth and reunite us with our loved one on a cleansed earth in the future. (Revelation 21:4; John 5:28,29; John 17:3; Psalms 83:18)  In the meantime you can be sure that God understands how you feel now! The Bible assures us: 'He is healing the brokenhearted ones, And is binding up there painful spots.' Psalms 147:3

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. There is a very comforting scripture found at Isaiah 25:8. It says that soon Jehovah will swallow up death forever and that he will wipe away all of the tears. So we can look forward to a time when death will be done away with forever. I hope that this scripture can bring some comfort during this time.

Please accept our deepest sympathy. It surely is a very difficult time; but we both hope you can find some comfort in the words of Psalms 34:18 which reads: “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.' Yes, you can rely completely on our Loving God. He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right HERE ON EARTH when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11, 29, Isaiah 55:11). Then death will be gone forever (Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:3,4) Going online at JW.ORG, you will be able to find out more about this resurrection on earth and as well as videos that depicts what it will be like to welcome our loved ones back to life.
