Official Notice of Earthly Transition

It is with profound sorrow and heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Mr. Edgar Thomas, of Riverview, Florida, formerly of Valdosta, Georgia.

Mr. Thomas was born on May 19, 1970, and transitioned from this life on April 2, 2026, at the age of 55 years.

Though hearts are heavy with loss, we are comforted in knowing that he has entered into eternal rest.

A Tribute of Comfort: Don’t cry for me ‘cause I’ve gone to a better place, Try not to cry for me, ‘cause I see the Savior’s face.

Remember my smile and the things we used to do, How you were always there for me, And how much I love you.

Celebrate my life, celebrate the years, Celebrate our family and wipe each other’s tears. Celebrate the laughter, celebrate the fun, One day God will wipe away your tears and sorrow will be gone.

Don’t cry for me ‘cause I’m home, ‘cause I’m free, Try not to cry for me, just hold on to our memories.

Remember my smile and the things we used to do, How you were always there for me, And how much I love you.

I’m looking forward to that wonderful day, When the Lord shall wipe all the tears away. Never again will we have to part, We will all have His peace and His joy in our hearts.

Homegoing Service Announcement for Edgar Thomas: The family of the late Edgar Thomas announces his Homegoing Celebration, which will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00 AM from the Ralph K. Harrington Memorial Chapel at Harrington Funeral Home, located at 713 Lake Park Road, Valdosta, Georgia.

Interment will follow in Register Memorial Gardens.

We ask that you keep the Thomas family in your prayers during this time of bereavement.
