Mr. Thomas was a lifelong man of faith who grew up in the church and remained deeply committed throughout his life. He was a dedicated member of Ebenezer CME Church for over 70 years, faithfully serving as a steward for more than 45 of those years. On December 6, 1968, he married the love of his life, Mrs. Rose Marion Morgan Thomas, and together they built a strong and loving family. He was a hardworking and skilled professional, dedicating 36½ years to Thermo King Corp. as a Tester of Air Units. In addition to his career, he had a deep passion for farming. He worked alongside his father for over 25 years before establishing his own farm in 1973. Mr. Thomas found great joy in working with livestock, particularly cows, and took pride in his hands-on knowledge, even assisting with their care and treatment. He also enjoyed gardening and was known for growing a variety of crops, including watermelons, peas, turnips, collards, squash, and corn. Above all, he loved the Lord and lived a life that reflected his faith and values.

He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings: Dessie Foster, Beatrice DeVaughn, John Lee Thomas, Maxie Lee Thomas, Annie Lois Thomas, Henry Albert Thomas, and Walter E. Thomas, Sr.
