When I think of Uncle Ray what comes to my mind is how much he loved this country. Throughout my life he often spoke of his years servicing his country and why. He spoke proudly of his dangerous and difficult journey in the service. However he always knew God had watch over him. I've never known Uncle to show fear of any kind which is one of the traits he leaves us. He always had a joke and more than a thousand stories to share. Uncle Ray was such a man of pride and independence. His love for dogs and gardening was only second to his love of God and family. He grew enough collards and tomatoes to feed the multitude:). He garden until his health began to change in his late 90's. I am so blessed to be one of his great nieces to have learned much from him. Which I am passing on to my two sons who are two of his great great grandsons and they will join me in passing life lessons to one of Uncle Rays great great great grandsons Gerrod (Bookieboo). Uncle Ray never made apologies about his faith and standing for Right. He has earn his wings to not only fly he shall SOAR in the heavens. Shanna job well done job well done. Love you much Always Teka

We're sorry to hear about the recent loss of Ray. May you find strength from the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: 'God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress.' What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us. You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.
