Gloria Alberta McLain Smith, 75, of Charlotte, North Carolina and formerly of Lincolnton, North Carolina transitioned in her home peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

She was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on November 25, 1950 the daughter of the late Robert Alexander McLain, Sr. and Elizabeth Morrison McLain.

Gloria graduated from Newbold High School and attended Gaston College.

She was a retired Group Home manager and a member of Silver Mount Missionary Baptist Church.

A celebration of her life will be Friday, April 17, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at Silver Mount Missionary Baptist Church located:

Charlotte, NC 28217

The family will receive friends at 12:00 noon.

All flowers are to be delivered to the church.
