Herman "Bro" Robinson was born on February 3, 1945, to the late to Mr. Gaines Robinson and Mrs. Fannie Grace Smith Robinson.
Herman was a hard-working man. He was the owner and operator of Robinson Trucking. He worked for Lamar County Public Works as a Diesel Mechanic, to his family and friends as a very trusted and dedicated mechanic. His work ethic and pride in his craft were evident to all who knew him.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Herman had a passion for farming and gardening. Herman was renowned for his skills as a "BBQ Pit Master." He not only mastered the art of cooking but also had an exceptional talent for building grills and creating flavorful BBQ sauces that delighted many. These talents became part of his legacy, bringing people together over good food and cherished memories.
Herman was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Lizzie Lenora Robinson; siblings: Peggy Robinson, Johnny Robinson, Martha Crawley, Betty Phinazee and Harry Robinson; as well as two grandchildren, Tatree Lyons and Jaylen Walker.
A man of faith, Herman devoted his life to Christ and was a proud member of Sardis Baptist Church. His faith guided him throughout his life and provided comfort to those around him.
Herman is survived by his beloved wife, Lenora Robinson; his children: Heronica (Ricky) Fletcher, Vironica (Rodney) Fletcher, Monica Robinson, Cheryl (Paul) Maddox, and Travis (Christina) Warner; his stepchildren: Alvin (Cassandra) Johnson and Kiara Johnson; as well as his uncle, Merrill (Mattie) Smith; his siblings: Ray Robinson, Janet (Charlie) Sullivan, Nycula (Jessie) Randall, Geraldine (Lovett) Shannon, Shelia Linder, Delores McClain and Wilbert (Marilyn) Blackmon; his in-laws: Catherine Walker, James Roach, Morris Myles, Jimmy (Phyllis) Johnson Jr., Winston (Valerie) Johnson, Kerry Johnson, Norman Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Ola Johnson, Myra Johnson. He also leaves behind a legacy through his grandchildren: Shondrika P., Monisha (Keith) R., Talyah R., Jalessa C., Alneka B., Jayden H., Tiana W., Arishona L., Kachae L., Sheraton L., Terek L., and Cody C.; a plethora of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and countless extended family members who will forever cherish their memories with him.
