Nikia Grier

Nikia S. Grier was born on October 25, 1976 in Columbus, Georgia to Helen Ann Grier and Granville Grier.

Nikia was educated at D. M. Therrell High School. Nikia loved sports, spending time with his family, friends, and kids.

After school Nikia became employed at TSA Atlanta Airport and 21 years at Grady Hospital. Nikia is preceded in death by his father Granville Grier, grandmother: Otha Lee Hardnett, and grandfather: Henry Grady Grier.

Nikia was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories a loving mother Helen Grier of Atlanta, GA.; four children: Nikirea, Jalen, Destiny and Kamal Grier. Two grandchildren: Amir and Legend. One sister : Naudia Grier and his only nephew: Trevor Curry all of Atlanta, GA.; His significant other Bajah Whitehead with 2 step children: Nailah Robert and Jarrah Barrow. A loving grandmother: Armie Grier of Woodland, GA.; Aunts: Emma (Fred) Weston of Thomaston,GA.; Brenda ( Mac) Harper of Warm Springs, GA.; Alva (Greg) Adams of Talbotton, GA.; Carla and Bernetta Grier both of Woodland, GA.; Uncles Shedrick Grier of Woodland, GA.; Kirk (Lois) Copeland of LaGrange, GA.; James McKinney, Ervin King, Leonard Green, Robert Green, and Michael Copeland all of Manchester, GA.; Great Aunts: Dallis Hollis, Nancy Taylor and Lottie Grier. One Great Uncle: Melvib Grier all of Macon, GA.
