Patricia Barnes Heggins was born to the late Millard McAllister Sr. and Eloise B. McAllister on August 10, 1933 in Durham, North Carolina. She was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 11, 2018. She retired from NIEHS after many years of employment and later as a Home Daycare Provider. She is preceded in death by her son, Bernard M. Heggins Sr. (Cattrual). She leaves to cherish her memory; her five children, Ramona Moore, Merv Heggins, Kelvin Heggins, Tina Heggins, and Derrick Heggins; six grandchildren, Bernard M. Heggins Jr. (Telita), Joi Heggins, Antwjuan Heggins, Jade Heggins, Krystina Moore, and Leesa Moore; and four great-grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Barbara L. Lassiter and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at Mount Zion Christian Church, 3519 Fayetteville Road, Durham NC 27707, on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Visitation with family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at 12:00 pm.
It has been more than a year, but I was just remembering Tish and how I miss her.
