Funeral service for Jacqueline Carter, 76, of Auburn, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Mattie Edwards will officiate.

Mrs. Carter, who passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama, was born October 20, 1949, in Ft. Benning, Georgia.

Public viewing will be Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Duane Carter of Auburn, AL; two children, Timothy Carter of Auburn, AL and Michael (Amber) Carter of Phenix City, AL; five grandchildren, Alexandra Michelle Carter of Auburn, AL, Brianna Knowles, Savannah Knowles both of Opelika, AL, Bella Carter and Summer Michelle Carter both of Phenix City, AL; one great grandson, Travis Scott of Auburn, AL; special goddaughter, Stephanie Raven Young and her daughter, Saana Preston both of Auburn, AL; one sister, Lauren (Benny) Wright of Havana, FL; one brother, William “Billy” Strawther of Hartford, CT; two brothers-in-law, Dowdell (Cathy) Carter of Wyandanch, NY and Alfonso (Renaya) Carter of Loachapoka, AL; three sisters-in-law, Linda J. Carter, Beverly Ann Carter and Shirley Mae Carter all of Auburn, AL; one special friend, Dorothy Tolbert of Auburn, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
