Funeral service for Douglas Heard, 80, of Camp Hill, AL, will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 17, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Camp Hill Cemetery, Camp Hill, AL 36850, Dr. Lisa Heard will officiate.

Mr. Heard, who passed away Friday, April 10, 2026 in Auburn, Alabama, was born October 13, 1945, in Tallapoosa County, Alabama.

Public viewing will be Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

He leaves to cherish his memory: six children, Kevin (Markita) Heard of Chesapeake, VA, Amos Heard of Dallas, TX, Zelenka (Frederick) Lewis of Atlanta, GA, Justin (Velda) Morgan of Dallas, TX, Douglas (Princess) Heard, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Brittany Heard of Atlanta, GA; five granddaughters, Brandy, Isabella, Averi, Jasmine and Liliana; nine grandsons, Joshua, D'Angelo, Rivers, Jaquan, Jalen, Frederick, Aiden, Justin Jr and Lucas; two sisters, Hazel Oliver of South Carolina and Abigiah Heard of Camp Hill, AL; three brothers, Lamorris (Estella) Heard, Dave (Jeanette) Heard and Larry (Clara) Heard all of Camp, Hill, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
