At times, there isn't much that can soothe the pain this grief brings, but you may find some comfort in the words of Psalms 9:9 which reads: 'Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress.' It says that soon Jehovah will swallow up death forever and that he will wipe away all of the tears. So we can look forward to a time when death will be done away with forever. I hope that this scripture can bring some comfort during this time.

Words are not enough right now to express how very honored, blessed and grateful I am to have known sweet Retta and to have had the pleasure of caring for her during her illness. Retta was an amazing person with a heart of gold, and I can honestly say that my life is a better place for having known her. Thank you, Carmen, for always welcoming me into your home with open arms from the very first day I met your sweet family. Some people you truly connect with right away, and that was most definitely the case with Retta and her family. She touched my heart from the moment I met her.
