Mrs. Floriadine Powell transitioned from this earthly life on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. She was born on November 28, 1945, in Washington County, Georgia, and lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service to others.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Kingdom Life Fellowship Ministries, 22045 New Tennille Road, Harrison, Georgia. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Powell was united in marriage to the late Mr. Johnnie Lee Powell. She was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. Georgia Roy Dixon and Mrs. Mattie Laura Kemp Dixon. She accepted Christ at an early age and remained a devoted and faithful member of Kingdom Life Fellowship Ministries in Harrison, Georgia, where she worshiped and served faithfully until her health declined.
She was known for her quiet strength, warm spirit, and unwavering dedication to her family. Her life reflected love, resilience, and commitment to those she held dear. She leaves a legacy of cherished memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
Mrs. Powell leaves to cherish her precious memory three children: Mr. Jimmy Dixon of Atlanta, Georgia; Mr. Vernon (Deborah) Dixon of Dublin, Georgia; and Ms. Nadine (Alex) Brown of Tennille, Georgia. She is also survived by two brothers, Mr. Otis (Pearl) Dixon of Davisboro, Georgia, and Mr. William (Belinda) Dixon of Harrison, Georgia.
She is further remembered by her sisters-in-law: Mrs. Joyce Dixon of Riddleville, Georgia; Mrs. Mary Dixon of Atlanta, Georgia; Ruby Dean Powell of Tennille, Georgia; Annie Powell of Sandersville, Georgia; Mrs. Lizzie Brown; Mrs. Bertha (Fred) Jeter; and Mary Powell of South Bend, Indiana.
Her legacy continues through ten grandchildren: Tina (Ken) Swint, Felecia (Larry) Hartry, Trell (Keshia) Brown, Tremanye Brown, Shanta Brown, Verntavies Dixon, Verkevious Dixon, Burnell Tukes, Kimber McGhee, and Mattie (Terrence) Garner; as well as twenty great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
