Ms. Frances Morgan transitioned from this earthly life on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m. at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. She was born on July 26, 1951, in Jefferson County, Georgia, and lived a life rooted in faith, family, and devotion to those she loved.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 3:30 PM at Gordon Grove Baptist Church, 1080 Belmont Road, Louisville, Georgia. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Ms. Morgan was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. Phillip Henry Morgan, Sr., and Mrs. Mattie Ella Jones Morgan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Mr. Willie Lee Morgan; her brother-in-law, Mr. Willie Burton, Sr.; one niece, Demetria Kelly; and one nephew, Sammie Lee Burton.

A lifelong native of Jefferson County, Frances was a faithful member of Gordon Grove Baptist Church, where she found great joy in singing in the choir. She was known for her gentle spirit and her love for worship through music. Professionally, she worked as a dedicated seamstress at Delilah until her retirement, taking pride in her work and craftsmanship.

Frances was deeply devoted to her family. She cherished time with her children and grandchildren and demonstrated unwavering love and compassion as a caregiver for her mother, whom she faithfully cared for until her passing. Her life reflected kindness, strength, and a quiet dedication to those entrusted to her care.

Ms. Morgan leaves to cherish her precious memory her son, Mr. Christopher Morgan of Louisville, Georgia; her brothers, Mr. Don (Annie) Morgan of Louisville, Georgia, Mr. Earl (Judy) Morgan of Waynesboro, Georgia, and Mr. Phillip Morgan, Jr. of Louisville, Georgia; and her sisters, Mrs. Annie Burton of Louisville, Georgia and Mrs. Eunice Devero of Louisville, Georgia. She is also survived by her aunt, Mrs. Frances Young of New York.

She is further remembered by her nieces and nephews: Regina Burton, Willie Burton, Jr., Angie Morgan, and Duran Stone, all of Louisville, Georgia; Sylvia Morgan of Washington, D.C.; and Wanda (Terrance) Gibbons of Atlanta, Georgia. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Amya Morgan of Louisville, Georgia; Messiyah Heggs of Carrollton, Georgia; and Malik (Ty’Eshia) Morgan of Augusta, Georgia, along with one great-grandchild, Amira Morgan of Augusta, Georgia; and a host of other relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Pallbearers will be Samtavious Burton of Louisville, Georgia; Kadarrius Burton of Louisville, Georgia; Jonathan Burton of Atlanta, Georgia; Kenneth Heath, Jr. of Augusta, Georgia; Duran Stone of Louisville, Georgia; and Keith Williams of Bartow, Georgia.
