Brenton Alexander Wells 0f 1426 Midville Road, Wadley, GA, was born on August 4, 1992, to the parentage of William Wells, Jr. and Brenda Hall. Needless to say, he was an added joy to their lives. Brenton was loved, nurtured, and doted on by his parents, grandparents, and his countless aunts and uncles. When the unforeseen circumstances of April 13, 2026, took the life of Brenton, lives were shattered, hearts were broken, and pain became palpable.

Brent was a precocious and inquisitive student who found his place with ease in the Gifted and Talented program in the Jefferson County School System. His educational foundation was cemented for him at Carver Elementary School, and he subsequently graduated from Jefferson County High School in the Class of 2010. After graduation, Brent decided that he wanted to enlist in the United States Air Force, following in the footsteps of one of his uncles. Brent served unselfishly and patriotically for eleven years before he was honorably discharged in March 2021.

Brent joined the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church. Brent traveled the world during his time in the United States Air Force. He frequently told stories of how intriguing it was to observe the North Korean soldiers stand at attention in the Demilitarize Zone between North and South Korea. It was there that he got a profound understanding of the true pricelessness and sacredness of freedom.

Brent’s enlistment in the Air Force led to his being recognized with the Air Force Achievement Medal, the Meritorious Unit Award with one Oak Leaf Cluster, the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with One Oak Leaf Cluster, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal with One Oak Leaf Cluster, the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Longevity Service with One Oak Leaf Cluster, the USAF NCO PME Graduate Ribbon, the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, and the Air Force Training Ribbon.

Brent will be forever missed and loved by his son, Cairo Alexander Wells, Swainsboro, GA and his mother, Brenda Hall, Wadley. Other relatives include his siblings: Bethany (Allen) Thomas; Treyonna (Christopher) Dreher; Sarah Wells; Jaylin D. Best; Stephen Z. Wells. He leaves one niece Madison Alexis Wells.

Additional relatives are his grandparents, Esther and Willie Hall and aunts: Julia Wells; Earnestine (Jerry) Edmond; Connie Hall; Bonnie Wells; Burine (Freddie) Hill; Chicara Gaines; Latycie Mills; and Veronica Neal: Uncles include Gary Wells; Stevie (Jennifer) Wells; Ben (Dollie) Wicker; Willie (Betty) Hall, Jr.; Timothy Hall; Teto Hall, Ronji Hall; Derrick Hall; Gary Gilmore, and Al Williams.

Brenton leaves many great aunts and uncles as well as cousins, co-workers, and friends.

Celebration of Brent’s life will be Saturday, April 25, at 11:00 at the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church, 5116 Belmont Road, Louisville, GA with Military Honors. Interment immediately following the service in the Hardeman Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery.
