Richard Warren Ooten of Azle, Texas, went home to be with the Lord April 18, 2026. He was born December 30, 1982, in Fort Worth, Texas to Lisa Little Taylor and Doyle Ray Ooten. Richard was named after his great-grandfathers Richard Henderson Ooten and Wayland Warren Dunning. He graduated from Azle High School in 2001 and married Sherry Lynn Johnson on January 19, 2002. Richard worked for Bell Helicopter as a composite bonder. He was a lifelong student of the guitar and had an eclectic appreciation of music. He loved to garden, fish, and cook, preferring his own culinary creations to his mother's. Richard had a very dry sense of humor but a warm heart.
Richard is survived by his wife, Sherry; his son, Nikolai; his daughter, Natalya; parents, Doyle and Lisa Ooten and Lisa and Blake Taylor; sisters Heidi Hudman and Amanda Camden and husband Dean; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
