I would like to express my condolences in the loss of your dear loved one. The bible gives us hope of seeing them again in the promised resurrection to come according to scriptures such as [John 5:28-29] and [Acts 24:15]. We find further hope in scriptures like [Isaiah 25:8] and [Revelations 21:3-5] which says in part that Jehovah God will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more, because God will swallow up death forever. I hope these scriptures will be of some comfort. With Deep Sympathy.

- Manna from Heaven Apostolic Faith Church,

Right now, when your loss is so fresh, it may be difficult for you to imagine that this pain will ever go away. But in time the blessing of God's unfailing love will soften the hurt you're feeling and bring your heart the peace, comfort and hope that it needs to heal. How? Revelation 21:4 tells us that soon everything that causes us pain, including death, will be gone forever. We also have the hope of our loved ones being resurrected here on earth, as Acts 24:15 tells us. I do hope you find comfort in this. Though I did not know your beloved Oluijmi, I am touched by your loss. Please accept my sincere condolences. JW.org

I had the pleasure of working with Jimi at UDM over the last several years. My schedule only had me in the office once a week, but I worked directly with Jimi often. Jimi always had ideas for new technologies to mess around with. I'm a software developer, and he'd often ask me about Raspberry Pi computers or Arduinos or programming. Even at this year's UDM holiday party, he sat by me and launched right into a tech discussion. He got some assignments, like doing electrical diagrams in some open source software, because I knew he'd enjoy the challenge. It was a few months ago that Jimi shared that he was accepted into a treatment plan for his illness. He seemed excited to be on a path for better health. I was really looking forward to his return from treatment. After knowing a life full of challenges and maintaining such a positive outlook, what would he be like when he emerged from his time in quarantine? How would he change, out from under the shadow of ill health? I wanted to see. It isn't often we see someone about to go through a positive life changing experience. We all wanted to see Jimi's next chapter. We've lost that now. That feels empty, disappointing, and deeply unfair, both to Jimi and to us. Please let me express my gratitude for Jimi's service. Hearing about Jimi's childhood nicknames, and how family spoke of him provided at least some sense of closure. Knowing he was loved for the same qualities he showed at work is a comfort. I wasn't prepared to speak at the service, but please know that we miss Jimi and mourn his loss. I miss the cadence of his voice and his presence in my life. He is remembered.

We're sorry to hear about your recent loss. Accept our sincere condolences. May you find strength from the words of Philippians 4:13 which says: 'For all things I have the strength through the one who gives me power.' What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us. You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.
