Obituary For Wilmon Rogers

Guest Book

To the Family of Wilmon Rodgers, I want to express my sincere condolences in the loss of your dear loved one. Death is never easy to endure. The Bible gives us hope of seeing them again in the promised resurrection to come, according to such scriptures as John 5:28-29 and Acts 24:15. We find further hope in scriptures like Isaiah 25:8 and Revelation 21:3-5 which says in part that Jehovah God will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more because God will swallow up death forever. Psalm 34:18 helps us to appreciate that God is close to the brokenhearted. Also, the Bible guarantees that you will see Wilmon again. I hope these scriptures will be a source of comfort. May God be with you and your family. With our deepest sympathy, TMP

Worked with Willl back in 1983 in the old jail on the 7th floor and when he first came to Patrol in 85, on the old C squad. We worked many nights when it was just me Will, and one supervisor covering the whole County. He was a great Deputy and good to work with. Your family is in my prayers.

My thoughts are with you and the family and how death robs us of our loved ones. Jehovah God has promised to remove death, sickness, and pain from the earth and reunite us with our loved one on a cleansed earth in the future. (Revelation 21:4; John 5:28,29; John 17:3; Psalms 83:18)  In the meantime you can be sure that God understands how you feel now! The Bible assures us: 'He is healing the brokenhearted ones, And is binding up there painful spots.' Psalms 147:3 jw.org Website for more encouragement.

My condolence to you, for you loss. my heart goes out to you. I’m praying for strength beyond normal, to comfort you and your family. God does Not cause death right now. 'Time and unforeseen occurrences befall all.' Ecclesiastes 9:11. The Devil does. Hebrews 2:14. Remember: 'Thy kingdom come, thy will be done,on Earth, as it is in Heaven.' Matthew 6:10; Daniel 2:44. You see it is a government that Jesus soon will rule as King. It will bring no more pain, no more sorrow, no more tears, no more death. Revelation 21:3-5. The dead will live again, here on Earth. Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:11, 29; Isaiah 26:19. Make sure you look up all the scripture to see this is all true. There is more. I’m sorry for your loss, pain and suffering. Whenever we lose a loved one in death we feel a sting and a void in our hearts, as if someone ripped part of our heart out. The pain seems like it will never go away. It will with time, or it will at least ease up. The Bible reassures us of that in 1 Corinthians 15:54,55 - “Death is swallowed up forever. Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?” God promises us there will be no more death. (Rev. 22:3,4). Turn to him in prayer.

Our warmest sympathies goes to you and yours in these difficult moments. May you find strength from the words of 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us. You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.
