Gary Miner, 63, of Bowie, Texas passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on May 3, 2026.

Gary was born November 4, 1962, in Del Rio, Texas. He graduated from Andrews High School, Andrews, Texas in 1981. Gary was employed in several different jobs holding assorted positions before eventually securing a position with the Texas Department of Transportation as a materials testing lab technician. After a few years, he moved to CME Testing and Engineering, Inc. in College Station, Texas, where he worked until retirement, then relocated to Bowie, Texas to be closer to his children.

Gary loved drumming, 80’s “hair band” music and cooking. But most of all, Gary loved his children and grandchildren.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Sherry McDonald, and father, Tom Miner.

He is survived by his sister Sandi (Jim) Boggio, children Kelli (Jimmy) Ledford, Jeff and Derek Miner, grandchildren, Haleigh, Landon and Allie as well as many family and friends.

Gary was deeply loved and will be missed by all the people he knew. A celebration of life will take place at a date and time to be announced.
