Loel Green

Loel “Rock” Green, affectionately known by many as "Hatchet" was born in Salt Spring District, Montego Bay, Jamaica.

In the 1970s, Loel came to America as a farm worker. He was known for his spirit, determination and the lasting friendships he made throughout his journey.

Loel had a deep love for golf and found great joy on the golf course. He was a proud member of the Long Driver Golf Club, where he shared many memorable moments with friends who became like family.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Mavis Maui Moore; grandfather, Beriah Moore and his grandmother, Cassilda Moore.

He leaves his son, Jason Napoleon Green; his daughter, Patrica Hill (Henry) and host of grandchildren, cousins and extended family members. He is also lovingly remembered by his aunties, Patsy Moore, Geneva Moore, Monica Moore and Carmen Moore; his uncle, Newtown Moore, all from Montego Bay, Jamaica and his special friends, Bill Johnson and Trent Roach.

Loel “Rock” Green will always be remembered by his love for golf and his hardworking nature. We all will miss Rock.

His life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing and visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in Paxtang Cemetery.
