Ella Mae Herod, 90, of Memphis, TN passed away on May 08, 2026 at Delta Blues Nursing Home in Memphis, Tennessee. Ella was born on December 21, 1935 to Oscar and Lillie Mae Garrett in Memphis, Tennessee. She is survived by two grandsons, Michael Garrett (Tracey), Bryan Garrett; five great-grandchildren; two siblings, Clarence Garrett( Regina) and Mamie Walker. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Lillie Mae Garrett, her husband, Arthur Herod and her son Michael Garrett Sr. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 10:55 AM at Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church 3077 Johnson Ave Memphis, TN 38112. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Pleasant Rest Memorial Gardens.
