Frances “Fran” Orilla Craymer went on to be with the Lord on May 10, 2026. She spent her life loving fiercely, giving even when she did not always have, and making sure others came first. She never missed an opportunity to tell you exactly what she thought, and those who knew her best would not have wanted it any other way.
Fran was born to Ivey Leon Branton and Lizzie Orilla Branton Thompson. Though life was not always easy, she carried strength, resilience, and compassion with her throughout her life. During her college years, she came to know her Savior, a faith that would guide and sustain her through every season of life. She never forgot where she came from or the struggles that shaped her, and those experiences taught her to share freely, love wholeheartedly, and raise her children to do the same.
She shared a life filled with love, loyalty, and partnership with her husband, Paul Lewis Craymer, until his passing in 2020. Together they built a home wherever life led them. Through both hardships and blessings, they faced life honestly and faithfully, always standing by one another. Fran cared deeply for Paul and remained faithfully by his side as much as she could throughout their years together.
Above all else, Fran was a mother and grandmother first. Her family was the center of her world and the greatest joy of her life. She leaves behind her daughter, Karen Joy Craymer Fuqua, husband Josh, and children Aiden and Micah; and her son, Mark Alan Craymer, wife Mindy, and children McKenzie and Matthew.
Her grandchildren brought her endless pride and joy. She never missed an opportunity to brag about them, spoil them, remind them how deeply they were loved, and tell them they were gifts from God. Her love for her family was unwavering, and her presence was one of comfort, honesty, strength, and care.
While our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for every lesson, every laugh, every hug, and every moment shared with her. The world feels quieter without her in it, but her love will continue through the family she devoted her life to.
We take comfort in knowing she is reunited with Paul once again and has finally found peace and rest in the presence of the Lord.
