Walter Lee Humphrey, Jr. was born in Madison, Florida, and raised in Sarasota, Florida, in the New Towne Estates community. He graduated from Riverview High School in Sarasota and later proudly joined the United States Army in 1979, where he served his country with honor.

To many, he was more than just a father — he was a loving son, devoted brother, caring uncle, and loyal friend. He had a larger-than-life personality and brought joy wherever he went. He loved fishing, dancing, and firing up the grill to barbecue for family and friends. Some of the best memories shared with him were filled with laughter, music, good food, and togetherness.

He was known for his incredible sense of humor and for giving nicknames to nearly everyone he cared about. Those nicknames became terms of endearment that family and friends will cherish forever. His ability to make people laugh and feel welcomed was one of his greatest gifts.

Walter Lee Humphrey, Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, strength, and unforgettable memories that will live on in the hearts of many.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew him.
