OPELOUSAS – A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home for Ms. Mary D. Richard, 63, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA.

Ms. Richard’s memories are being cherished by: her son, James Dingle of Lafayette, LA; two brothers, Peter Richard, Jr. of Chattanooga, TN and Ronald Richard of Opelousas, LA; two sisters, Theresa Richard of Ring Gold, GA and Mary Williams (Darryl) of Opelousas, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Mildred Ned Richard, Sr. and two sisters, Gladys Kennerson and Linda Richard.
