Obituary For Mrs. Teresa Murray Ellis

Funeral services for Mrs. Teresa Murray Ellis will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM at East Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Rev. Randall Bohannon is the Pastor and will officiate the services. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 6 - 7:00 PM and also 1 hour prior to funeral services on Friday.

Mrs. Ellis, 59, exited her earthly life on Saturday, February 23,2019 at Rush Foundation Hospital. She was formally employed as a cafeteria worker for Meridian Public Schools until her health failed.

Mrs. Ellis leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Mickel Ellis of Meridian; 2 sons, Michael Murray (Myeisha) of Pensacola, FL and Anthony Murray (Denise Gowdy) of Meridian, MS; 2 step daughters, Takesha King and Alexis King Newman (Brian), both of Meridian, MS; 3 grandchildren, Micha Murray, Anthony Gowdy, and Jamyia Murray; four step grandchildren, Mondre King, Destiny King, Brian Newman and Kailey Newman; 3 sisters, Ruthie Murray Wilburn of Chicago, IL; Linnie Murray Gilmore and Sylvia Ann Murray Bell, both of Meridian, MS; six sisters-in-law, Lucille Murray of Maywood, IL; Overa Westerfield Murray of DeKalb, MS; Pearl Ellis of Jacksonville, FL; Sandra Ellis, Barbara Ellis King and Peggy Ellis all of Meridian; 8 brothers-in-law, Jessie Gale, Andrew Bell, Howard Ellis, John Ellis, Lee Ellis and George King all of Meridian; John Ellis and William Ellis both of Jacksonville, FL; 1 uncle, Gilbert Grady of Milwaukee, WI and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and family.

Several family members preceded her in death, her parents, 5 sisters, 6 brothers, paternal and maternal grandparents.

Burial will be held in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery. Enterprise Funeral Home was entrusted with the final arrangements.
