David Lee Gilley

Graveside service for David Lee Gilley 80, will be Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 11 am at the Forestlawn Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Jackson, officiating and with Military honors.

Mr. Gilley graduated from Cobb High School, Class of 1965. He honorably served in the United States Army. Throughout his life, he was known for his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others whenever he could. David had a deep love for golf. He had a passion for working on and collecting cars. One of his greatest callings was assisting fellow veterans in obtaining the benefits and support they deserved, reflecting his caring spirit and dedication to service.

Survivors include his brothers: Fred Gilley, Donald Gilley, William Gilley, Allen Gilley, and Ricky Gilley, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Charles Gilley, his sisters, Mary Thompson and Charlie Mae Parki, his brothers, Walfreo, James, and Charles Gilley.
