Funeral service for Guffie Swink,III 66 "DJ Rockie G" will be Friday, May 22, 2026 at 1 pm at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Hobson City with Rev. Judge Stringer III officiating. Interment will follow in Oconee Cemetery, Oxford. Mr. Swink passed away May 16, 2026 at Northside Nursing Home in Gadsden, AL. Viewing will be Thursday, 1-6 pm at Anniston Funeral Service.

Mr. Swink's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to his service. His three main passions in life were his Freightliner truck, music and Bar B Qing. He started driving 18-wheeler trucks as a teenager and drove for over 40 years. He loved all types of music and was a DJ for many years.

Survivors include his children, Shon Swink and Guffie Swink IV; 3 granddaughters and 1 grandson, Kolton; his brothers: Steve (Eloise), Calvin and Gregory Swink; sisters: Carol J. Swink, Peggy Datcher (Chris), Alphelia Smith, Selina McGrue, Vanessa Williams (Roy), Pamela Ervin; his aunt: Gladys Cunningham, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guffie Swink Jr. and Mary Frances Nunn Swink, stepmother, Vera Ervin Swink, brothers, Lanier Ervin, Felix Ervin, Neal Ervin III, Marshall Ervin and Anthony Ervin and a sister, Terri Ervin Rowe. Anniston Funeral Service Jeffrey C. Williams 256-236-0319
