The curtains close, the houselights rise, The world wipes laughter from its eyes. A master of the craft has gone, To take a stage beyond the dawn.

You turned the heavy, dark, and deep, Into a joke that made us weep, You found the light in every flaw, And bent the rules of what we saw.

But though the spotlight dims tonight, Your humor leaves an afterglow so bright. The jokes live on, the echoes play, You made us laugh, and still, you stay.

The universe just found its spark, A sudden giggle in the dark. Rest easy, comic, take your bow, The heavens need the laughter now.
