It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Lessie Sherman.

Lessie Sherman, 86, died Thursday, May 21, 2026.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Strong & Jones Chapel, with burial at Barrow Hill Cemetery.

Viewing will be from 12:00 (Noon) to 6 P.M. Friday, June 5, 2026 at Strong & Jones Funeral Home.

Survivors include four sons, Major Washington (Elaine), Charles Wilson Bryant, Timmy Sherman and Roosevelt Sherman; two daughters, Amy Sherman and Sandra Sherman; three sisters, Ethel L. Washington, Uralee Johnson and Willie Mae Jones; 13 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
