Obituary For Lewis Bracey, Jr.

Lewis Bracey, Jr., 67, departed from this earth on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Atrium Pineville Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina . He was the son of the late Reverend Lewis Bracey, Sr. and Flettie Mae Williams Bracey. He was born on January 13, 1952 in Camden South Carolina. He was married to Barbara Johnson Bracey.

Lewis accepted Christ at an early age and joined Macedonia Baptist Church.

Lewis was educated in the Kershaw County School System. Lewis is preceded in death by one sister, Bernell Bracey Those left to continue his legacy are his wife of Lancaster, SC; two sons, Jermaine Bracey, Charlotte, NC and Cedric Bracey (Andrienne), Charleston, WV; six sisters, Minnie B. Carmichael (Lucious) and Lula Mae Bracey, Patterson, NJ, Flettie G. Bracey, Ruth A. Bracey and Carrie B. Bracey all of Westville, SC and Bobbie J. Fowler (Ike) of Camden, SC; two grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Loree P. Johnson; three sisters -in-law, Maria Blackmon (Lamar), Ann Stinson (Myron) and Marcilyn Johnson; two brothers-in-law, William and Harry Johnson, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be 2 : 00 pm Monday by the Rev. Jerusha Gaither and Rev. Eddie Moore at Bright Light Baptist Church with burial in the Church Cemetery.

Viewing will be Sunday, 1:00 - 5:00 pm at Stewart Funeral Home.
