Laneath was born on January 22, 1935 to David Collins and Myrtle Burwell-Collins in Memphis, Tennessee. She is preceded in death by her parents, David Collins Sr and Myrtle Burwell-Collins. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6th, 2026 from 9:00 am - 10:50 am at Metropolitan Baptist Church 767 Walker Ave Memphis, TN 38126. Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 6th, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Metropolitan Baptist Church 807 Walker Ave Memphis, TN. Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery.
