It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Deloris N. Lamb.

Deloris Nealy Lamb, 80, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2026.

Deloris Nealy Lamb was born on November 11, 1945 in Scooba, Mississippi, as the fourth daughter of six children to the late John Wesley Sr. and Roberta Nealy. She confessed Christ at an early age and continued to faithfully serve the Lord as an active member and Mother at Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Quincy, Florida, St Luke Primitive Baptist Church, Midway Florida and Greater Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church, Tallahassee, Florida until her transition to her eternal home.

She attended Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where she met and married the love of her life, Eugene Lamb, Jr, on December 27, 1969; and remained his faithful companion and number one supporter during their 57 years of marriage. She ultimately made Midway, Florida her home where she happily raised their two children, Rolanda and Brian.

Deloris worked for the Florida Department of Labor and the Department of Corrections for over 30 years until she retired in 2005. Her commitment to spiritual, civic, and community service was a model for so many in her family, profession, and community. She was a dedicated servant leader and played a pivotal role in the care of so many individuals, including her parents and her late Uncle Lonnie Nealy and Aunt Clara Nealy of Tuscaloosa, AL.

She was preceded in death by her parents and eldest brother, George Nealy, Sr. She departed this life surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 28, 2026 in Tallahassee, Florida.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving and faithful husband, Eugene Lamb, Jr; one son, Brian Lamb (Paulette), New York, NY; one daughter, Rolanda Walton, Jacksonville, FL; one brother, John Nealy Jr., Birmingham, AL; three sisters, Ruth Ann Sullivan, Atlanta, GA, Roberta Burnside, Montgomery, AL, and Catherine Turner (Andrew), Birmingham, AL; two brothers-in-law, Charles Lamb, Willie D.
