Cammie Annette Dotson, 45, of Youngstown, Ohio, shared her last smile as she transitioned peacefully to her eternal home and received her heavenly reward on Friday, May 22, 2026. Cammie, the beloved daughter of William Alan Dotson and Irma J. Payton, shared her first breath on July 31, 1980, in Youngstown, Ohio.
From an early age, Cammie was grounded in faith, receiving her spiritual foundation at Church in the Round in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, under the leadership of the late Bishop Melvin E. Clark, Sr. During her middle and high school years, she continued to grow in her Christian walk as a member of Evangel Assembly of God under the leadership of the late Pastor John Harper, Sr.
Cammie was a proud 1997 graduate of East High School and later pursued her passion for beauty and entrepreneurship by attending Raphael’s School of Beauty, where she earned her cosmetology license. Through determination, creativity, and hard work, she became the owner and operator of Shear Design Hair Salon in Girard, Ohio. She took great pride in her profession and built meaningful relationships with clients who became like family over the years.
Known for her warm spirit and loving heart, Cammie brought joy and laughter wherever she went. She loved singing, cooking, family gatherings, and creating lasting memories through family vacations. Her presence illuminated every room, and she treasured every opportunity to spend time with those she loved most.
Cammie leaves to cherish her precious memory and continue her legacy: her loving parents, William “Bill” Alan Dotson and Irma J. Payton; beloved children, Camille and Saige; devoted sisters, Patience Dotson and Robinette Dotson; nephews, William Jeremie Dotson and Aristoteles Steward II; nieces, Jhurnee Steward and Payton Brown; and a myriad host of close cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her love and friendship.
Though her earthly journey has ended, the love, faith, kindness, and beautiful memories Cammie leaves behind will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of devotion to family, perseverance, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
Cammie will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished. As declared in Matthew 25:23, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” We invite all who knew and loved Cammie to join us as we remember the vibrant life she lived, the love she shared, and the impact she made in the lives of others.
