Mr. Henry Allen Farmer, Jr. was born on April 3, 1942, to the late Henry Allen Farmer, Sr. and Lou Anna Tender Farmer. On June 6, 2026, he peacefully departed this life at his home in Evans, Georgia, at the age of 84. His life was a testament to perseverance, independence, service, and a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and excellence.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. at the James and Virginia Davis Chapel, 727 Beech Street, Louisville, Georgia. Interment will follow at Sand Valley A.M.E. Church Cemetery, 7577 Sand Valley Road, Louisville, Georgia.

Henry was a man of determination, vision, and strong character. After proudly serving his country in the United States Army until receiving a medical discharge, he embarked on a successful career as an entrepreneur. Through hard work and dedication, he established and operated Chamblee Dunwoody Auto Body, an automobile appraisal company, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike. His entrepreneurial spirit reflected his willingness to forge his own path and embrace new opportunities throughout life.

Henry had a deep appreciation for learning and personal growth. An avid reader, he could often be found with a good book in hand, continuously seeking knowledge and insight. He also found great enjoyment on the golf course, where he developed lasting friendships and embraced the challenge and camaraderie that the game provided. Whether reading, golfing, or spending time with loved ones, Henry approached life with curiosity, enthusiasm, and gratitude.

Those who knew Henry will remember his wisdom, resilience, and the genuine connections he built with others. His presence brought encouragement, conversation, and laughter to family gatherings and social occasions. He valued family deeply and took pride in the accomplishments and growth of those he loved.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Allen Farmer, Sr. and Lou Anna Tender Farmer; his sister, Katherine Farmer Lewis; and his brother, Elmer Jack Farmer.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories and continue his legacy: his wife former wife, Mary Sumathy Farmer of Pearland, Texas; his daughter, Sendreka Farmer of Pearland, Texas;his sons, Orran Farmer of New York, New York, and Cyrus (Donna) Farmer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his siblings, Earline (Rev. Otis) F. Smith of Stockbridge, Georgia, Cora L. (Williams) Meriwether of Evans, Georgia, Linzie (Deborah) Farmer of New London, North Carolina, Bernard (Yvonne) Farmer of Glendale, Arizona, and Samuel (Phyllis) Washington of Snellville, Georgia.

He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Kira Farmer of Los Angeles, California, and Rohan Farmer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who brought him tremendous joy and pride.

In addition, he leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish the many memories they shared with him.

Though his physical presence will be greatly missed, the values Henry embodied—hard work, perseverance, service, and a love of learning—will continue to inspire all who knew him. His legacy lives on through his family, friends, and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey.
