Mrs. Ernestine M. “Tennie” Windham of Cherryville, North Carolina formerly of Lincolnton, North Carolina transitioned peacefully on June 7, 2026 at Carolina Care Health & Rehabilitation.

She was born in Lincoln County, North Carolina on January 9, 1942 to the late Rufus Daniels, Sr. and Janie Bell Thompson Daniels.

Ernestine was a member of St. James A.M.E. Zion Church. She was a graduate of Newbold High School.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, June 14, 2026 in White’s Family Chapel at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

A public viewing will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026 at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
